RESIDENT EVENTS: Thursday, Oct 21 - Calling All Essential Workers! We're grateful for all the healthcare heroes and frontline workers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. As a special thank you, we're giving out cookies from Insomnia Cookies to all essential workers. Stop by the office to grab a cookie on us! VIE INSPIRED: Get involved and give back to our local community! As part of our Vie Inspired initiative, we're collecting clothing donations throughout the month of October. All donations will go to the Hearts for Homeless of Western New York. Donations can be dropped off at the bin located near the fitness center. TOP THINGS TO DO IN OCTOBER: Mayer Bros Cider Mill and Bakery The leaves are falling, and autumn is calling! Bring in the new season and experience the taste of Fall at Mayer Bros Cider Mill and Bakery. The National Buffalo Wing Festival returns to Highmark Stadium for Labor Day Weekend. Celebrate two decades of Wingfest with delicious wings from restaurants across the country, sip a cold beer, and make more great memories at this year’s festival. Buffalo Hard Cider & Doughnut Fest Saturday, September 18 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm The official kick-off to the fall season has arrived! Kayaking + Canoeing There's no better way to spend a summer day in Buffalo than being on the water. Kayaking or canoeing is a great way to have some quality ‘me time’ or spend time with your pals. Not to mention, it’s a killer upper body workout! Luckily for us, Buffalo has plenty of places where you can relax on the water while being surrounded by incredible views. Attend a Buffalo Bisons Game If you haven’t been to a baseball game this summer, it’s time to get on it! Usually, it’s the Buffalo Bisons, this summer it's Major League Baseball team Toronto Blue Jays. Different baseball team, same good time! 3. Hop on a Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour If you really want to cool off, we highly suggest giving Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours a try. This 60-minute narrated sightseeing cruise offers unforgettable views of Niagara Gorge, Niagara Falls, and so much more, all while feeling the rush of Class V white water rapids.
